What does a whole-person approach to online anxiety treatment look like with an insurance-covered psychiatrist?
A whole-person approach to online anxiety treatment includes a comprehensive 30–40 minute evaluation of your symptoms, medical history, and lifestyle factors. Your insurance-covered psychiatrist develops a personalized treatment plan that may combine medication management, therapy referrals, and lifestyle modifications. You see the same licensed clinician at every follow-up visit for continuity of care.
Telepsychiatry vs. Therapy: What's the Difference?
Psychiatric providers are medical clinicians. They diagnose conditions and prescribe medication when appropriate. Therapists provide talk therapy and help you build coping strategies.
You might work with one or both. If your anxiety responds well to therapy alone, you may not need medication. If you need both, your psychiatric provider can coordinate with your therapist.
Online psychiatric care delivers medical diagnosis, treatment planning, and prescription management through secure video visits. Your provider evaluates your symptoms, reviews your medical history, and discusses options that may include medication, lifestyle changes, or referrals to therapy.
Telepsychiatry is not a replacement for therapy. It's the medical side of mental health care, accessible from home.
How Your First Visit Works
Start by completing a short online assessment. It asks about your symptoms, medical history, and insurance information. We match you with a licensed provider in your state based on your needs.
Your first evaluation lasts 30–40 minutes. Your provider will ask detailed questions about your anxiety symptoms, how long you've experienced them, and what's worked or hasn't worked in the past. Together, you'll build a treatment plan tailored to your situation. That might include medication, referrals to therapy, or other approaches.
You see the same clinician at every follow-up visit. This continuity means your provider knows your history, tracks your progress over time, and adjusts your care as needed.
Insurance Coverage and Self-Pay Pricing
We accept most major insurance plans, including Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, and United Healthcare. Our network covers over 170 million people.
Before your first visit, we verify your benefits and let you know what your plan covers. This process takes at least 72 hours, so plan ahead when booking your initial appointment. If your plan requires a copay or deductible, we'll explain that upfront.
If you don't have insurance or prefer to pay out of pocket, the flat rate is $150 per visit for both new and follow-up appointments. We also provide superbills for out-of-network reimbursement if your plan allows it. You submit the superbill to your insurer, and they reimburse you directly based on your out-of-network benefits.
Evening and weekend appointments are available, so you can schedule visits around work or family commitments.
Advanced Options for Treatment-Resistant Symptoms
Some people don't respond fully to standard treatments. If you've tried multiple medications or therapies without enough relief, your provider may discuss advanced options.
At-home ketamine therapy is one specialized approach for severe or treatment-resistant symptoms. Ketamine is prescribed off-label and is not FDA-approved for any psychiatric condition. Your provider will evaluate candidacy based on your medical history, current symptoms, and past treatment responses. This option is available via telehealth in most states where we're licensed, except Texas.
We also partner with NeuroStar for transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) and offer referrals for Spravato (esketamine) treatment at our Las Vegas, Nevada office. Your provider will walk you through eligibility criteria, what each treatment involves, and whether it makes sense for your situation.
