Jasmine-Vy Nguyen

Hello, this is Jasmine and I am a certified Physician Assistant. I received my undergraduate degree in Nutrition at University of Houston in 2013 and my Physician Assistant Studies at Touro University Nevada in 2016. I have specialized in emergency medicine, pediatrics prior to working in psychiatry.

Outside of work, I am a mother of three children, two of them are fraternal boy/girl twins. I enjoy reading, cooking, baking, gardening and have a great passion for dancing.

In contrast to the 1970s when every patient got prescribed Valium for their anxiety, modern psychiatry adapts the role of complementary and alternative medicine plays in mental health. I believe in addition to evidence based pharmaceutical treatments, evidence based integrative care such as nutritional awareness, exercise habits, dietary supplements, and social connections are vital to our journey towards overall wellness. As we gain a deeper understanding of our guts, our brains and the correlation to biomarkers of mental illness, let's take care of ourselves so we can take care of the one we love.
