The hardest state in America to find a psychiatrist
Mississippi has fewer psychiatrists per capita than any other state — roughly 5.5 per 100,000 residents, less than half the national rate. The University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson is the only academic psychiatric program in the state, and Delta and South Mississippi counties routinely have zero practicing psychiatrists.
Our Mississippi-licensed clinicians are not a complete answer to that gap, but they meaningfully shorten the wait for adults who need medication management for anxiety, depression, ADHD, or PTSD. Same-week intake, video visits in any county.
