Some HPN HMO plans need an authorization from Behavioral Healthcare Options before your first psychiatric visit. The BHO phone number is on your card, and our team can check for you before you book.
Your cost depends on your plan's mental health copay or coinsurance. We confirm it before your first appointment. BHO's employee assistance (EAP) counseling sessions don't apply to psychiatry visits here, so we bill your medical plan instead.
Your first visit is a 30 to 40 minute video evaluation with a Nevada-licensed psychiatrist, psychiatric nurse practitioner, or physician assistant. You keep the same provider at every follow-up. When medication is part of your plan, prescriptions go to the pharmacy you choose. A prescription is never guaranteed.
