We can't prescribe controlled substances in Alabama. That includes ADHD stimulants such as Adderall, Vyvanse, and Ritalin, benzodiazepines such as Xanax and Klonopin, and ketamine. We can still evaluate you, provide therapy, and manage non-controlled medications such as SSRIs, SNRIs, bupropion, mood stabilizers, and non-stimulant ADHD medications like Strattera or Qelbree when clinically appropriate. A prescription is never guaranteed, and you'll confirm you understand this when you book.

Our Alabama-licensed psychiatric providers prescribe through any in-state pharmacy and follow the same Alabama Board of Medical Examiners standards as a UAB or Brookwood Baptist clinician. You stay with the same provider visit after visit — no rotating roster, no re-explaining your history.
In Alabama we're in network with Medicare, Aetna, Cigna, and UnitedHealthcare. We aren't in network with Alabama Medicaid yet, and Medicaid can't be billed out of network, so self-pay is $150 per visit. If another plan isn't listed, check it on our insurance checker.
